Prada Sandals Spring-Summer 2008

These Prada sandals from the Spring-Summer 2008 collection feature beige suede with a very cute bow on the front. The one thing that I’m not sold on is the sole and heel.
The wood is meant to look like the white paint is wearing off - like on an old fence. I get the look they are going for, but I don’t think I like it. And for $622, I’d have to really LOVE these to even think of buying them.
How about you? Do you like the worn look of the heel and sole?

I love the style of this shoe but I can’t get past the heel. Why would I want to spend that much money on a pair of shoes that look like I don’t take care of them?
Maybe the wood is being recycled from old barns and is helping to save the rainforest. That might make them more appealing :)
