Basketball Shoes on a Budget

by Kori on July 12th, 2007

Though we will primarily talk about women’s shoes here at ShoeBlitz, today I want to touch on men’s basketball shoes. Basketball shoes, particularly those endorsed by NBA players, oftentimes cost well over $100. These outrageous prices can be frightening for parents looking for dress their teenagers in the latest styles.

One player in the NBA has done something to combat that problem, offering his basketball shoes at just under $15. You read that right - $15!

Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks released a line of shoes last season sold exclusively at Steve & Barry’s. The headlining Starbury I basketball shoe hit the market retailing at $14.98. Marbury claims they are made from the same top-quality materials as other popular basketball shoes but are sold at a small fraction of the price.

Starbury IIMarbury offers a whole line of shoes, including running shoes, cross trainers and low and high top basketball shoes. More recently, the Starbury II line premiered - still at the low price of $14.98.

Visit Starbury.com to check out all the shoes and find a Steve Barry’s store near you.

And Starbury does have a line of shoes for women, including these cute, pink and gray low tops.

i think is so nice to see that one nba player knows that you dont need to have sneakers that cost so much i wish other nba players would at least have there shoes start out at $20 beacause as long as there made form high quality material then i think it would be nice to see todays stars with signuater shoes but half of the price so that kids can buy them with out playing high price sneakers
